From 4 to 11 February the first edition of the “National Week of Scientific, Technological, Engineering and Mathematical Disciplines” will take place, known as STEM, established by Law 187 of 2023.

The goal is to raise awareness and stimulate the interest, choice and learning of these subjects, fundamental for the technological innovation of the country, so that they become increasingly an option in the choice of the postgraduate course.

BV TECH Group supports the initiative, together with Valore D, with the new digital communication campaign entitled “We Stand 4 STEM – Together to support scientific disciplines”.

The activities, which will see the involvement of STEM profiles of the network and all those interested in encouraging such studies are part of a wider project to overcome gender stereotypes in science and technology.

The initiative places particular emphasis on the role of women in this area, seeking to bridge the gaps in study paths and career prospects.

The enhancement of internal resources, beyond the gender difference, is necessary and important to create an inclusive environment and to avoid the dispersion of talent.

Central remains the role of training: courses and webinars to develop new skills will be increasingly useful to keep up with the changing world of work.

STEM skills will be a safety net to actively participate in the future of work.

Today more than ever, it is important to support the learning of these subjects, bridge the existing skill mismatch and commit to counteract the gender gap that has always characterized the scientific and technological disciplines.
